KAYAKS AND PADDLES IN RANCE

With Chill-in-Rance, (https://www.chill-in-rance.com) we offer you the opportunity to sail in Rance Maritime from the hold of Plouër-sur-Rance or from the lock of Chatelier to appreciate the charms and mysteries of the Rance Fluviale.

 

The Kayak or the stand-up paddle are the ideal boats to appreciate the landscapes and the heritage of the Rance while enjoying the pleasure of being on the water.

HOMEMADE JAMS WORKSHOP

We will teach you all the tips and tricks of our grandmothers to make delicious coulis, jams, jellies, and chutneys with the seasonal fruit harvest from our garden.

These workshops take place over a half day between July and September during which we will answer all your questions.

 

How to make jams without industrial pectin? Which ingredients to use? How much sugar should be added depending on the maturity and quality of the fruit to ensure good preservation? What material to use? Which pots can be used for recycling? How to sterilize the jars?


Price: €40 for half a day, you will leave with 2 jars of jam.

DINARD

The charm of the Belle-Époque on the Emerald Coast, a chic seaside resort. Three days a week, the Place des Halles de Dinard is transformed into a top-of-the-range open-air boutique! Cashmere sweater, costume jewellery, scented candles and soaps, decor, off-label designer clothes... go well with the "classic" fruits, vegetables, fish and other roast chicken for a morning.

An unmissable walkabout where you can taste the traditional sausage galette before heading to the Écluse beach just a stone's throw away to spend the afternoon. (Dinard market: morning, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)

For lovers of HIKING in unspoilt nature, we have plenty of nature walks starting directly from the house, the GR 34 passes below our house and runs along the Rance from Dinan to Dinard.

From SAINT-SULIAC, one of the most beautiful villages in France, a path leads to Mont-Garrot where you will have a panoramic view of the Rance and the old Viking village below.

Travel back in time to DINAN, the medieval town and its 14th century castle proudly dominate the Rance. Below, the small marina is the starting point for beautiful walks along the estuary.
